Selection Process

The first round of review of all complete applications will be conducted by MPI's National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy (NCIIP); members of the program's Advisory Board may assist with this stage of review if the size of the applicant pool makes this necessary.

A second round of review of top applicants will be conducted by the program's Advisory Board and finalists will be selected. NCIIP staff will conduct further investigation of the finalist pool, including contacting applicants' references and possibly requesting additional information from particular applicants.

Once further investigation of award finalists is complete, the Advisory Board will review the additional information and select the four prize winners.

While we fully expect to adhere to this selection process, MPI and NCIIP reserve the right to change or adapt the selection process should circumstances indicate a need to do so.
